Marbles
Did you play marbles as a child?
Personally speaking I didn't but my middle brother did, I never really saw the point of it to be honest .... and I can say that the rules ..I think each kids made up his/her own.... were always confusing.
There is also this expression which involves marbles which I never really understood until last night
"Ive lost my Marbles" or I'm losing my Marbles"
I sat yesterday for nearly 6 hours editing some photography.....
I have to say I do this most days and after a while it can become very frustrating.
I am also a very messy worker, yes I said messy ...
I have over layers and photos all over the screen and there is no real order to how I work ...
So back to my marbles.... I'm editing the phone rings its my mom.
The whole world stops when my mom calls .....Mom England ,Me States
To cut a long story very short by the time I get of the phone and go pick my children up of the bus and get them sorted with homework snacks and other things kids need when they get in from school... there was a power surge and both my computes had crashed and I had lost nearly everything I had been working on.
That is enough to make a girl lose her Marbles

Sharing Sunday : A Faviortie and a Wonderful find.
Happy Sunday to you all.
I cant believe its Sunday already where did our long weekend go? but let me say I'm grateful we didn't get snow, unlike my homeland that did. It makes a change its normally me screaming about snow instead this weekend its my UK friends post all over Face Book that they have snow.
Sharing Sunday, I love doing this post cause it means I have the perfect excuse for finding Stores and Artists to share instead of feeling guilty cause I'm spending to much time scrolling through stuff.
So My first fine ..... (yes that's right I have two for you today, I just couldn't pick between them both)
A Life Through The Lens, my dear friend Kristi, a true inspiration to me in more ways than one.
Her work draws me in and I hope it will you to as she has a fabulous sale on for the next two weeks buy one get one free.
This is what Kristi says about herself and her work
I capture life's little moments through photography. Photography helps me slow down and look for details that I otherwise might miss. I feel most alive when I am creating & sharing things of beauty. I believe Aaron Siskind best describes how I feel about photography perfectly, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
I'm a self-taught photographer; constantly growing and learning. I find inspiration from my children, nature, the simple things, soft colors, natural light, quotes and life.
I want to share with you the print that sits above our bookcase, it use to sit in Bops room but it looks better above our bookcase so I stole it from her.

The name of the Artist is Sara and she lives in Madrid ... a wonderful part of the world, many a drink drank in Madrid in my miss spend youth, but that's another story.
Here is what Sara has to say about herself and her work.
This is the corner where the Little World take its place.
Hello! My name is Sara Olmos, I work doing what I love: playing with images and ideas in order to gear them and transform them in small visual puzzles. I am a graphic designer and that is the way I face my work: searching for each project the solution that fits the best. A few years ago I started to look through a camera lens and I discovered that it allowed me, in an immediately way, to communicate my particular vision of the world, where the objects and the small things are filled with live and look at me in such way that it is impossible to deny them a photo.
Recently I have also begun exploring my illustrative side, where I let the fantasy govern and search new forms of expression.
Nowadays I am developing a series of illustrations called "le petit monde" (little world) inhabited by characters who interact with objects with a different scale finding in its relation new meanings.

Life is Beautiful : Photo Prompt
This weeks Melissa chosse the prompt for 2 Photographers, 1 inspiration. Her prompt was " Life is Beautiful"
Both Melissa and Kristi's Photos and interpretations are as always inspiring ...... I love both their work and I do wait in anticipation waiting for them to post their prompt for the week then their photo's.
I always want to thank them both for allowing others to participate in this weekly photo prompt
Please take the time to go see their work, and leave them both a comment, it will be worth the simple click it takes I promise.
I had far to many idea's running through my head this week when I saw the prompt, there is so much beauty that surrounds us in this world.
The beauty that just surrounds my life alone is enough to make a girls mind work overtime.
I left my photo till the last minute today in fact I only took it a few hours ago ....... I was walking round my garden looking for an inspirational moment when all of a sudden it came to me....
The Word of the Lord is the most beautiful thing in my life, something that I don't always appreciate as much as I know I should.
Flowers are another beautiful thing in life, this flower was brought over to me by my wonderful neighbor yesterday, and reminded me and my mom of my grandfather .... it was his favorite flower ... A Gladioli.

Journey: This weeks photo prompt.
This week at Life throught the lens and Savoring the Details the photo prompt is the word Journey.
Kristi and Melissa have as usual out done themselves with fantastic interpretations of the word.
The word Journey sets of a whole bunch of emotions in me, and isnt it funy that the word Journey be the prompt for this week just as my parents land in The States after an 18 hour day of travelling.
I had so many ideas for this weeks photo..... but finally this is what I used.

Perfect Moment Monday: Summer Rain
I love Perfect Moment Monday, purely for the reason of there is so many of these moments in life and its wonderful to try and capture them....
Perfect Moment Monday is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.
Once a week we engage in mindfulness about something that is right with our world. Thank You Lavender Luz at Weebles Woblog for hosting this each week ...it really is something I look forward to
Bop has always been deathly afraid of storms, even when there is no storm she will predicted one when she sees a black cloud, and this to be honest can be very annoying at times ..... it's like living with Mystic Meg.
So when the storm hit on Friday we all held our breaths and waited for her to kick of ..... and waited and waited.
She made a few comments like.
"Don't you think we should close the windows"
And
"Is that lightening getting closer"
Im not sure why she is so scared .... It's not like we only get them every now and again they are pretty frequent through the summer.
Friday for some reason unknown to us was diffrent for her she remained fairly calm as the storm came in and once it was over us she didnt seem to flinch a muscle ........ and then
I surgessted we went out to play in the rain once the lightening and thunder was in the distance and she AGREED.
This is a first and I was shocked, I have surgessted this more than once, and never efore has she taken me up on my offer.

You should really go check it out some of the work they do together is pretty awesome.
They opened this up for everyone to join in.... just send them your link in a comment once your photo is up....
This weeks theme is "Collection"
I have tons of stuff that you could call a collection... i think my mom would call it junk but even still to me its a collects... but it get it to look like a collect is another story....
So since last night I have been racking my brains as what to take a photo of.... came up with loads of ideas.... and was going to put it together tonight.
My photo turns out to be a total inspiration after stopping at a local farm stand this afternoon....
I have Bop to than for this photo.... it might not be a personal collection but it sure is a collection....
In the words of Bop... " Look Mommy, it's a collection of beans"
The light went on and thank goodness I had my camera on me... which is not unusual.
So here is my "Collection"

Perfect Moment Monday : The Visitor.
Perfect Moment Monday according to Weebles Woblog is about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.
I have started to look forward to Mondays ..... in blog land that is ....Mondays in my world are just the same as any other day...just a different page turned.
Sometime ago, when I was still working, (before RAD became a huge part of our lives, and therapeutic parenting was just something I once read about in a parenting magazines)
I use to do two lates till 9pm twice a week, I would start work at midday and this gave me the opportunity to get some things done around the house, the sort of stuff you cant get done at 9pm. Like planting garden tubs ......
This day in particular I had nipped to the local garden center and picked up some plants for the tubs on the deck .....
Once they where planted I stood back and admired them, this was my very first yard (in The States that is) and as much as I'm no expert gardener I do love to see plants in tubs (I'm also a container freak).
I went back inside to grab my camera (I try to post as many photo's as possible for my friends and family back in The UK)..... when I came back outside this is what I was greeted with....
We had a visitor ......

To see more Perfect Moments why not nip over to Weebles Wobblog ...... you could even join in.

Perfect Moment Monday : Breakfast
Perfect Moment Monday is all about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.
You to can join in just hop on over to Weebles Wobblog the rules are simple ..... They have to be I'm participating.
Yesterday Morning, I had a spurt of inspiration, I told the kids if they wanted breakfast ..... they had to come up an idea and cook it themselves.
Before you panic, and think I let the kids cook unsupervised, I did plan on helping, they stood in the kitchen for a few minutes when Bop announced she knew what they could have, she whispered it to Bip they agreed.
Whoa that doesn't happen much, the agreeing apart .....
They asked for a small bowl each and I frowned... wondering what they where going to do.... their shoes went on and of they went with their bowls...
We have fresh raspberries growing in our garden ....... a source of great delight for both Bip and Bop as they are total fruit freaks ........ I grab my camera and followed them out.
After they had picked raspberries, they came in.... I asked
" So whats for breakfast"
" Pancakes" they announced ......
So the games began ...... the kitchen was a mess ....whats new.... the kids where happy ...that is new ...... and breakfast was served without much hassle or arguing
