Ms Nosybella really, really wants to know.

I love this.... Maxabella over at Maxabella Loves has turned into Mrs Nosy Parker .....
Got to love her for it, totally sorted me out for the night cause I had a couple of options on what to write tonight ... but nothing was really grabbing me.... so here goes... feels a bit like confessions of a SAHM

  • Clean the shower (most weeks)
  • Clean the toilet (every two/three days)
  • Change the towels (everyday cause the kids use one and dump it in the wash basket... even when I say don't)
  • Vacuum (every other day, we have a dog)
  • Clean the fridge inside (oh my goodness maybe once a month, but I do wipe it down daily)
  • Change the bed linen (every two weeks, or if someone has an accident everyday)
  • Wash the floors (every other day)
  • Clean the oven ( Not very often, the top of it every time I cook the oven part ...lol... never
What are your 3 least favorite household chores? Mine are:
  • Taking the trash out
  • Washing the dishes ( I have a dishwasher his name is Hubby)
  • Cleaning the oven
And household chores you secretly don't mind doing?
  • Ironing (its the only time I get to really watch a movie)
  • Vacuuming
  • Putting the clothes away
Pop on over and check out Mrs Nosy Parker's answers...

Oh and if your inclined Id like to know to .... so leave me your answers

The Worse Letter of The Alphabet ..... Pee

(Art work by TatterBeans)

Ye that's right pee .... At six we still have pee issues, which for the most part I can deal with.

Buying pull ups isn't a big deal for me ... yes I wish we didn't have that expensive ... but its better than washing sheets every day and dealing with the smell of it.

It use to wind me up , and for the most part now a days Bop is dry at night. The random wetting herself in the day seems to have stopped also, mainly cause I'm on her case now I'm not at work.

I have rules that goes along with this problem ....

1: Expect to be woken up before I go to bed at night... you will be lifted and you will go to the toilet ( apparently she hates me for this one rule).

2: If you do have an accident in the day then please tell me ... cause sitting on the furniture in peed in pants is totally not necessary ( this  causes more uproar in our house than anything else).

3: If I ask you if you have wet yourself please don't lie to me it is likely to make me very upset if you say no and the real answer is yes ( the amount of times she has lied to me about this, well lets just say if I had a dollar ).

and the new one

4:Don't pee in the POOL

Guess who's not going in the pool for the rest of the week, all because I asked her to go to the bathroom and she refused,

I said

"Bop you pee in the pool, and pool privileges will be taken away for the rest of the week... that means for another 5 days"

She looks at me .... and says .....

"You can't do that ... its to hot".

It's been 103F for the last 2 days.

I explained I could and I would ..... I also told her I would know if she did.
She thinks the pool tester strips can tell me if she has peed in the pool, and why she thinks this I do not know, but hey I'm not telling her any other ..... it works in my favor right now.

Twenty minutes later I ask her again to go to the bathroom, with a really cocky voice she says

"I don't need to go Mommy"

I ask her if she has peed in the pool, she answers

"No"

At that point I wasn't sure if she was lying as she didn't look at me,( RAD kids look you right in the eye when they lie) so I got up out of my chair and started to walk towards the storm porch, as I turn the corner and just out of sight she screams at me,

"Don't you get a pool stick"

She gave herself away right there and then.

*Update on Pee*

Bop still wets herself at night..even though she is lifted before we go to bed.
Last night she was wet before we went to bed and again in the morning......(12/17/10)
She also been tested for Diabetic  and a few other things... nothing wrong with her....
She is in the mind set that with out a drink she will die... its one of her RAD issues.
Her mind set is as follows... she doesnt belive she deserves a warm clean dry bed.
She believes for the most part that if she can make me angry that is better than positive attention.
She isn't bothered if she smells bad, cause she isn't worthy of anything good.
How do you make someone believe that they better than that and that they are worthy of all good things? to answer my own question...Im still working on the answer.
Oh and she is Seven now.

So yes Pee is still the worse letter of the Alphabet .... in more ways than one.

Perfect Moment Monday is all about noticing a perfect moment rather than creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between.

You to can join in just hop on over to Weebles Wobblog the rules are simple ..... They have to be I'm participating.

Yesterday Morning, I had a spurt of inspiration, I told
the kids if they wanted breakfast ..... they had to come up an idea and cook it themselves.

Before you panic, and think I let the kids cook unsupervised, I did plan on helping, they stood in the kitchen for a few minutes when Bop announced she knew what they could have, she whispered it to Bip they agreed.

Whoa that doesn't happen much, the agreeing apart .....

They asked for a small bowl each and I frowned... wondering what they where going to do.... their shoes went on and of they went with their bowls...

We have fresh raspberries growing in our garden ....... a source of great delight for both Bip and Bop as they are total fruit freaks ........ I grab my cam
era and followed them out.

Bip and Bop getting breakfast

After they had picked raspberries, they came in.... I asked

" So whats for breakfast"
" Pancakes" they announced ......

So the games began ...... the kitchen was a mess ....whats new.... the kids where happy ...that is new ...... and breakfast was served without much hassle or arguing

Perfect

Duh Mommy !!

Our new reading tent came today, its all part of our therapy .....

Out therapist had told me that I needed to bring a closeness between me and the children, almost taking them back to being babies.

This can be hard when they are six and nine ......

I mean Im not gonna get in the tub with Bip, I can snuggle with him but when I do Bop wants a slice of the action, and visa verse, its hard......

So she had me think of something that you would do with a toddler.... I like the fact that she makes me think ..she never gives me the answer unless I get the answer wrong, which I have been known to do....

Bedtime Stories ..came to mind

We elaborated on it and came up with our reading tent......

A place where we could cuddle, snuggle and I could read to them. A place full of cushions and nice soft soft blankets and throws...

A place we could go to any time of the day ..when the world looked like it may come crashing down on us we could retreat to our tent ......

Our safe place.....

And in theory it will works...

Well it would works if Mommy could get in the damn tent to.

Did my usual ... saw .... liked .... brought, forgot to look at the stupid size of it didn't I.... It's just not going to fit three of us at all.

Back to the drawing board.

The Simple Things

It has been a pretty fantastic day, few hiccups ...but then if there were none I would think I was living without Bip and Bop.

Woke up this morning ( cue song.... I woke up this morning Got myself a gun,.... oh I just love that theme song from The Sopranos) and Bip was sitting on my bed starring at me ...

I had decided not to ask him if he was hungry ....

I wanted him to ask not always be asked, pre-breakfast snack was in place but I didn't ask, he did ask if the TV could go on and as I'm feeling pretty sleep deprived right now and I saw it was 6.30am, I agreed.

Next thing I knew it was 7.15am and Bop had joined us, said good morning to her and asked if she was dry.... gleefully she said yes..... I'm always grateful when she says yes, and always thank God for this small blessing.

I felt slightly guilty that I had slept in.

Did also wonder if Bip has taken any food from the kitchen, so I asked him once we were downstairs.... he replied with

"No food, but I did take something, I'll go get it".

He comes back with a packet of gum that he had taken from my husbands bedside table, was slightly shocked that he had owned up to it, this is a breakthrough, and I'm really proud of him for handing over that gum, but did still wonder if he had took food as he never did ask.

By 11 O'clock the grocery shopping was done, and we were home again.

Earlier I had joined in on Flog Yo Blog at Mummy Time, so imagine my surprise when I got home to find I had a new follower, Thank you Glen at Glen's Life you helped make my day (he also grew up in a city very close to where I grew up which makes him totally cool) its the simple things in life that make one happy.

After lunch Bip went outside and shouted that we had boxes on the door step... that UPS man had been sneaking up the front yard path again bless him ....

Both boxes where a pure blessing, kids new reading books from Boarders, Bop reads at a grade above her grade, not that she would ever let you know this, and she reads fast, Bip reads well as he has a reading comprehensions of an 8th grader, but speed reads, he knows what the story is, just doesn't read every word.

Second box was the kids medication, we were going to run out today, and my heart would have been in my mouth tomorrow morning if we had....
(Thank you Native Remedies for your quick and speedy service)

Bip had a temper tantrum and broke something cause she wasnt getting her own way..... but she came and told me she had done it, wow she has never done that before.... (this therapy stuff is really working here) she gave me what she had destroyed and informed me that it needed to go in the trash, we have a rule that if its broken then its trash.... if we didn't we would have a house full of broken toys.

Hubby arrived home and took the kids of my hands after dinner.... bless him he works 10 hours a day but he still finds time to play UNO with the kids, they all went to check the mail box... I had more parcels.

One from TWLOHA ....I had ordered a T-shirt some weeks ago and had totally forgot about it... I support this charity as both my kids self harm, they don't cut themselves, but they harm themselves in other ways..... (another story for another day).

My other parcel was from one of my best mates in the UK, she had seen a Marmite promotion package and has ordered it and sent it to me.... I love all things Marmite ... Im a total Marmite freak ...... and I'm proud of it ....

Oh Happy Days

Today has been filled very happily with kids screaming at each other, not listening to each other or anyone else as a matter of fact (including me), crying cause telling the truth is to hard... throwing up cause they have cried to much its made them sick.... refusing to eat, leaving huge messes everywhere they went ... not flushing toilets after doing a number two, kicking the dog for no reason..... kicking each other again for no reason .... running out of rooms when I have entered a room (talk about feeling wanted) chewing fingers (their own) and no stop chatter. Oh and then there was the case of the exploding Pillsbury bread rolls ( that I now wish I had taken a photo of) I had sat it on the kitchen work top as it was out of date..... left the room and heard a bang.... when I got back to the kitchen it had exploded all over the place..... of course no one had touched it ..Eyes roll back in head.....
